One quiet afternoon, BeeBee landed on a branch and watched the clouds go by.

Her wings trembled softly.

“Thinking about that again?” asked an old bee with a smile.

BeeBee nodded.

“I was remembering the first time I tried to fly.”

And just like that, the memory came back.

Back then, BeeBee was very small.
Her wings seemed enormous, too heavy for her.

“Go on, try!” the others encouraged.

But BeeBee backed away.

“What if I fall?"
"What if I can’t do it?”

One day, she climbed onto a leaf that was a little high up.
Her heart was pounding.

She jumped.

Plop.

BeeBee tumbled into the grass, unhurt… but with her wings all crumpled.

“I told you so,” she sniffled quietly.

She wanted to give up.

That’s when a ladybug came over.

“You know,” she said gently, “falling is already a little bit like flying.”

BeeBee looked up.

The next day, she tried again.
And again.
And again.

Each time, she fell a little more slowly.

Until the moment when…
she didn’t fall at all.

The wind carried her.
Her wings moved on their own.

BeeBee was flying.

The memory faded, and BeeBee smiled in the present.

“I’d forgotten how hard it was,” she murmured.

The old bee nodded.

“Everything worth doing starts with a small step… or a small flutter of the wings.”

BeeBee took off gently.

She knew now that every flight begins with a moment of hesitation.
