The Watching Moon

The Watching Moon

Close your eyes, itโ€™s time for sleep,
The moon climbs up, her watch to keep.
Sleep, little one, the moon watches over you,
She lights the night, just for you.

Stars begin to blink, one by one,
Around the moonโ€™s face, soft and round.
Sleep, little one, the moon watches over you,
She whispers dreams both bright and true.

The wind hums low, a gentle tune,
Shadows grow still beneath the moon.
Sleep, little one, the moon watches over you,
Until the morning light breaks through.

And when the soft new light appears,
The sun will chase away all fears.
But tonight, the moon watches over you,
Sleep in peace, sheโ€™s here for you.
