The Dancing Rain
The dancing rain upon the roof
Goes tip, tap, tip, with playful proof.
It slides along the old tin spout,
Singing a tune so light throughout.
The dancing rain upon the street
Draws puddles round beneath our feet.
Quick! Pull on boots of golden hue,
And jump right in โ thatโs what we do!
The dancing rain upon my coat
Sings with the wind a cheerful note.
I raise my hands, I spread my arms,
And laugh out loud at all its charms.
The dancing rain will drift away,
The sun returns to light the day.
Each puddle holds a bit of sky โ
A happy memory, by and by.
