The Lost Teddy
Tonight I search for my teddy bear,
Under the bed, behind cushions everywhere.
He isnโt there, my heart beats fast,
Iโm scared heโs lost, gone off at last.
I check the drawer, I check the bag,
Down in the corner, dark as a crag.
A little tear rolls down my cheek,
I miss my teddy, heโs what I seek.
Mama comes in and turns on the light,
Looks under the bed with all her might.
โHere he is!โ she says with a grin,
My teddy was sleeping, snug within.
I hold him close against my chest,
No more sadness, no more unrest.
Tonight, curled up with my teddy bear,
I fall asleep, safe and warm, without a care.
